Well my sailor came home last week with a shipmate. Went to the store to buy groceries. I prepared a big meal Friday night when they arrived, had a huge cookout with his friends Sat and prepared a big breakfast for the family. Then he packed up some cooked food and went back. He is not on the ship anymore so he wanted me to cook so he could just pop something in the microwave. Now I know why he bought some much groceries. Well I guess it is still good to be needed. He even brought his dirty laundry!! Gotta love em!

I told him that I was coming to VA to visit and will be staying in his place. Can't wait to leave my shoes on the floor, and my cups everywhere around the place.

He told me that he is taking the test for E5 soon. Wish him luck. He also told me that he will be telling his girlfriend (in the Fall) to start looking for a ring. Don't know if I am ready for my baby to be married but I love my future daughter-in-law.

haven't been on here in awhile...my son was home for two weeks after Corp school, and left Tuesday for San Diego.  He starts FMTB training in about a month but will be working in the hospital there in the meantime.  He really likes it so far.  Wasn't as hard for him to leave this time.

I've been keeping busy with work and the gym...my youngest son doesn't have any after school activities, so there are a lot of hours to fill.  My daughter graduates from Winthrop in May, then will be moving to Oklahoma the day after.  They are heading there this weekend to apartment hunt and do their job interviews.  Will be so hard to have her far away too, but at least it's not Japan.  I can get to Oklahoma.

Annm, he is in Florida now but stationed in Norfolk. Called me to ask if I would deposit money in his account. He wants to fly home at the end of the month but will only be home for about an hour. He and his girlfriend will be going back to Charlotte for the weekend. I guess I am helping with the flight and romantic weekend. LOL.

Susan-I am so glad to hear from you. How are you doing? I have been keeping you in my prayers.

Susan, I am also praying for you and your son.

Hello Sisters- I have not been on the site in sooooo long. My laptop was being repaired and I can't use my phone. I am glad to see that there is some activity but I wonder where everyone is. Hope everyone is doing fine. My sailor's girlfriend is flying out today to see him and he asked me if I wanted to join her. I really can't see me with them I know I would probably be left alone while they spend time together. I plan to go this summer.

My oldest son is trying to enlist now and he is getting impatient because obstacles keep getting in the way. I am praying that all goes well for him today because the Recruiter asked him to go into the office.

Well until next time. Hope all have a great Friday and weekend.

annm, I know you will miss him.  I am not looking forward to mine leaving for as long as he will be gone.

He finished the first part of the corpsman school and just started the HM training today.  That first part was horrible; glad it's over!  Lots of stress for me!  Hard to commiserate from so far away when all you want to do is hug them.

annm- I know you are sad because my son left a couple of weeks ago and will be gone for a while also.  The day he left I wasn't any good to anybody!  I see this is his second deployment, so it doesn't get any easier for us moms?   What did moms do before emails?

Thanks!

Hope everyone is having a good week...my son got to pick his orders yesterday and he will be stationed with the 3rd Marine Logistics Group in Okinawa, Japan.  He will go to Camp Pendleton in CA after A school (March) for two months then onto Japan.  Struggling with it just a little, but he will love it.
