Wow. Thank you guys so much for the warm welcome. I live in Piedmont, SC. Which is very very near where you live Jachay. He went in June 25 last year and he did make it home for Christmas. He may make it home before shipping out for orders just not sure. He will be on the USS Blue Ridge over in Japan. My son said at least 3 in his class were going to Norfolk, one was going to Italy, one to Guam, one top secret. This all pretty new to me thanks again for the warm welcome.

Welcome PeachNavyMom.  I am in Easley, and my son is completing his 12th month in the Navy, one year being 2/12/2014. His first time home since leaving for boot camp was at Christmas.  He has finished A school and is now in some other submarine school.  He has enjoyed, but is now about tired of the snow up north.

Welcome PeachyNavyMom.  Where do you live?  I am in Charleston.  What is your sailor's job?  I just read the USS Regan is transferring its home port from San Diego to Japan.

Sheryl, good luck this morning.  Please let me know what I can to help you with the adoption.  I keep trying to find time to look into it but it has been busy here.  So glad you heard from your son.

I'm off to talk to some 3 rd graders about MAS and our January adoption .

I also heard from our POC over in Djibouti and I know we have someone with a sense of humor . He said that they would send some warmth our way if we could package up some of our snow !!!
Have a good Tuesday moms :)
