2byzmom, that brough back memories of when my first son went to BC.  When we got his first letter, his twin brother insisted on reading it to me.  So cute.  Then he turned around and went to BC and was so worried about me getting his first letter timely.

Perfectly stated, Susan.  Koz, do you belong to your Recruit's division group or PIR group?  They will be able to keep you updated as well on what they've heard from their recruit.

I agree.  Sometimes the letter would only have one paragraph, which really said nothing, but it meant the whole world just seeing the handwriting.  LOL

koz - Girl, you are in for the ride of your life! As dissappointed as you are for the empty mailbox,  imagine the joy when a letter does come.  If I had a dollar for every happy tear I cried over a letter, I'd be a millionaire!!  I speak only from experience.  Hang in there, it does get better (when BC is over)!!  Sorry, but its true~  We are here to support you, hugs!!

Hang in there, koz.  The call will be in the third week and the letters at the beginning are only mailed once a week.

annm - Good luck!  I think our school, Forestbrook Elementary,  won the award a few years back.  Crossing my fingers for you!

CC-You will love Charleston. It is very beautiful. I was just there last week for a Speech Pathology Convention.

Sandy-I have to use 'cornbread heck'. I love my Navy Sisters because I am always learning new things. HA!

Well here is the latest!! Louis did not defer his student loan like I told him (once after PIR and twice when he came home for Christmas) so he may not be going to Japan. I told him-'OH NO. YOU ARE GOING TO JAPAN!! AFTER WHAT I HAVE BEEN THROUGH. EVEN TRYING TO SPEAK JAPANESE! I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO CUZ YOU ARE GOING TO JAPAN!!!!!!

Then he says to me that he REALLY did not want to go but hopefully he will go to San Diego, Washington (STATE) or Norfolk.

Sisters check the Chicago paper for these headlines: 'SC MOM COMES TO GREAT LAKES AND SHAKES SAILOR SON SENSELESS! (I bet you can't say that fast 3 times-ha).

I hope they him send to Florida which is where he does not want to go.

WHAT IN THE CORNBREAD HECK IS HE THINKING ABOUT???????
