YAY...just talked with my son!  He sounded great and is doing good.  He said he has no regrets!  The division has five flags and he has been nominated for one of the honorary awards...but doesn't know if he'll get it yet.  Battlestations is scheduled for the 24th!

Ok Susan. We sang Happy Birthday to Hippmom a few days early. Get your vocal cords ready for Jan 17:)

Hippmom, enjoy your early birthday dinner. I wish I had been there for the fish fry.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIPPMOM! I was not going to even sing this one. I heard Susan and that was enough:)

So true about the graduation DVD.  Take your own camcorder.  We go to PIR next Friday.  Yeah!

Susan...congrats on the phone call.  Hippmom...enjoy your time with your son (forget the New Year diet and have fun while he is home).  I actually live downtown Columbia in the Vista...would love to meet any of you ladies when you are in Columbia.  Where are you planning to go for dinner?

It's Thursday so I'm hoping for mail today!  It's also exactly three weeks until I leave for PIR...whoo oooh!

Susan, I am doing a happy dance with you. I am so excited about the moms going to PIR. You will love it. I received my dvd and was a little disappointed. A lot was cut out and it was several advertisements for the Navy. My husband was happy because he was not at PIR. I guess it is for the memories.

Hippmom, enjoying your sailor? Dumb question, right. Have a great time. Louis and I are skyping now and I love it. Since he is an hour behind he always calls me when I am in my pajamas. I can see his roommates looking at me and waving. I am so embarrassed but they tell me it is good to see me anyway. LIARS!!

I can't wait to TELL yall my stories!  I feel like I'll be graduating too!  He will be staying at GL for A school for 14 weeks afterward...then, who knows where he'll be.

I had a bit of a meltdown a few days ago after a conversation with my ex-husband where he told me, "you know he is never coming back."  Meaning that he has chosen the Navy and will return for visits every now and then, but will never return "home."  That hit me hard...no wonder I divorced him...LOL!

Cool...I'm staying at the Ramada too.
