sometimes I hate my laptop. The surgeon called 20th to say the lymph nodes were clear. Need followup treatment on the turmor, but looking good. The box came that afternoon and his letter came today.......God is good!!!!!!!! He is Ship 09 Div077 PIR date of Feb 18!!!!!!
I hear ya! My kids grew up on Lake Murray, they are on the water even in cold weather!
Susan, this is the Red Neck Yacht Club! The place where memories and great friends are made. Oh the stories I could tell you!! Its our families house boat. It sits in a little place called Cox Ferry Lake off the Waccamaw River. We will love this place forever. Due to new state laws, all house boats must be removed from the water by December 2012. We only have about two years left with her. Its our weekend meeting place. Where we all go to get away from the "rat race".
StarChild - I sit hear with tears streaming down my face. I know that love you speak of! Many blessings to you and your family this Holiday Season. Merry Christmas~
Hello Ladies, I am still here and miss all of you so much. I need to tell you all about my PIR. Well it was wonderful. Vincent and I went to the Meet and Greet and met some moms. That was so nice. I was excited during the ceremony. I saw Louis and he looked great. I had binoculars so I kept my eyes on him during the ceremony. The music was touching, the singing was lovely, the band was fantastic! After it was over Vincent ran to his brother and I was trying to be soooo cool. I walked to him and he grabbed me and said 'Hi Ma'. That was it!!! Thoughts of his birth flooded my heart and mind and I sobbed like a baby. 22 years of 'held back' tears came to the surface. I posted a pics of PIR.
When we got to the hotel he stayed on the laptop, his phone and the tv was on ESPN. I sat near him as much as I could. He kept saying 'I am ok Ma. It's no big deal" I let this boy know what I have been through for the past 8 weeks and Vincent filled in the other details. They laughed at me and I must admit I had to laugh myself. When I woke up in the morning I went to see my son sleeping. I stood over him watching and smiling.
He and I text each other every day and now it does not seem he is far away. He keeps me posted about the snow and I can not wait until Thursday. I will be catching up on this site when I get my laptop back. Guess what?? Vincent is no longer working so he is trying to get the child support straight. He emailed the Director and received a call the next day from a case worker. Funny how we have not heard from anyone in 4 months (phone or letter) then when he contacts their supervisor someone calls his mobile.
Have a wonderful holiday season my Navy sisters. I am truly blessed to have you in my life.
I just got my phone call!!!!! The sweetest 5.59 minutes ever! He is doing good and sounded FABULOUS!
