Hello Everyone,
I am happy to hear all the good news. I printed my gate pass today so I am almost ready to go. Louis wants sushi and shrimp for Thanksgiving so I will be looking for a restaurant near Springhill suites so I can pick something up. He does not want to leave the room until Friday. He wants to go shopping on Black Friday. I have never gone shopping on that day because I use my Zamzuu Internet E-commerce Center but he is unable to get things shipped to him so I guess I will be out on Friday.

Susan, I have been taking a class on Literacy and Friday I did a video for a project due tomorrow. I need to get all assignments in by next Monday so I can leave for PIR on Tuesday. This class is a challenge because I have to step out of my comfort zone. I wanted to have more knowledge about literacy in order to assist my special needs students to become fluent readers. This class has taken up a lot of my time but I would do it again for my students and I would take another class if one is available. All for my students.

It is a happy crowd tonight. Soon my time will come and I'll be posting that I heard from my Bobster. I'm so happy for all that have been in touch with and waiting on that recruit to come home! It's a GREAT weekend!!!

Just received another call. He talked to his brother for 20 mins and I was very happy. He even called his girlfriend.
Well Sisters when I hung up I was dancing so much that I lost my balance, fell against the wall but I was still dancing!!! Dancing on the way to the floor. It didn't look pretty but I was still happy. I was 'boogie-ing on down'. Think I'll sit down, continue to watch NCIS and just have happy feet. WOO HOO!!

TheBobsterMom-I loved that story. I don't usually put stickers on my car but I want a Navy Mom sticker. That I would be honored to put on the car.

I was suppose to get another call after 3pm. My phone is stuck to me like glue. Well it has always been stuck to me but this time it is different. I do not want to miss his call. I think he may call before his brother goes to work.

Ladies,
Every morning I look forward to seeing what each of you have posted. I feel like I have become a part of a sisterhood on here :-)
The Bobster called me yesterday on his way back to his dad's and said that as he was pulling up to a red light he noticed a cool looking old truck (he likes old trucks). On the back window was a Veterans sticker. Bobby said that he pulled on up beside the truck and motioned to the older gentleman. He pointed the Veterans sticker and then to his NAVY sticker on his truck. They each gave the other a thumbs up and a smile. Bob said "Mom, I was so proud of joining the Navy at that moment!".
Now, doesn't that put a smile on your face as well? It does mine :-)

Connie, I am doing the happy dance all through my house with you. I know you are ready to fly away. Could you sleep last night?
After my son called last night, he called back because I needed to ask me something. Wow that was a good feeling. So up the coaster we go. Let's enjoy it. Have a good Friday my Navy Sisters.

Just received a call from my son. He said that he called me at work but I did not answer the phone. Glad he called back. He said that they go through BS21 on Sunday 21st. Big test on the 19th. He can call again tomorrow to get the overnight liberty plans arranged. I was really happy to hear his voice. Time to get my blue candle.

Annm-I could feel the love you have for the students. I am so glad things went well today. I know the students were filled with pride as well. I know they looked really good all dressed up. That was a positive learning experience for the students in the high poverty school. They need to know there are other experiences besides the ones they live through everyday. Bravo Zulu!!

I made Veteran's Day badges for all of my students and they were so happy to wear them. We watched a short video about veterans and they talked about their family members in the military. They wrote about Veteran's Day, colored a flag and placed them in the hallway. And of course I had on RED WHITE AND BLUE. I even had on red framed shades(you go girl). Some of the teachers said that they forgot it was Veteran's Day. WHAT!!!!!! I was speechless. I just walked away. Educators forgetting it was Veteran's Day. Still speechless.

On the CNN story about the ship, it was the USS Ronald Reagan and not the USS Lincoln. I typed in the wrong president.

Susan-I feel the same way since my nephew will be going to Bosnia in the spring and my son is at GL. Today I realized what I want to do next year. I want to go to Arlington National Cemetery on the 11th day of the 11th month at the 11th hour and honor our military men and women. As I watched Vice President Biden put the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I begin to cry. I text and emailed all the Veterans I knew and thanked them for their sacrifices and service. Some of them contacted me back to tell me that meant more to them than I would ever know.
God Bless Our Military Men and Women and our Veterans.

Annm-praying that all goes well today. We are suppose to have district officials today. Did they pick Veteran's Day for some reason?

Wishing all our veterans a Happy Veteran's Day.
