All I know about mine is that he will be going into the Air Crew Program following BC.

BobbysMom-Got it. He is an MM.

I thought this was good information:
Ladies, be sure to go to the 12/17 group, and look at their "discussions" for one by Anti M called 'Your Sailor." She just posted it on their site today and it has wonderful info in it about what your recruits are going through, how they are changing, what to expect when you see them, etc. She was raised in a Navy family, is former Navy herself, married a Navy man (retired now), and has an active duty nephew. I found the discussion very informative. You don't have to join the group to read it, but if you want to post, you will have to join it. If you can't see it in the "Discussion" section, hit "view all" and it should be there.
It is really good!

StarChild, what will his occupation be? That's what that means.

I was asked what my son's 'rate' would be when he enters A school? What is that mean?

Got a letter today and he sounds fine. He is excited about graduation and overnight liberty. He told me what he wants me to bring him but he said he would call me in a couple of weeks.

thanks StarChild, The Bobster is with his dad in Columbia right now doing some PT because he's worried about not keeping up in BC. He'll be back home Wed for a meeting with his recruiter and hopefully to spend a little time with me. Then back to his dad's til the end of the month. He has promised me the last two weeks before he goes to me :-)

BobbysMom-I remember the days before my son left. We talked about boot camp, went online and talked about trips to other countries. We opened an account for him to take the proper paper work for direct deposit with him. We looked at restaurants and hotels in GL so he would know where we would be staying. We watched more tv together and I started crying as the days passed by. I didn't want him to go but I wanted him to do what he has wanted to do since elementary school. I talked him into going to college and when he was finished I could not think of anything else to keep him close to me. Now I know that he will be serving our country as an US Navy Sailor and I would not change a thing. So enjoy your man now because in 3 months he will be a Navy man and the adventures will continue.

I can't believe The Bobster will be leaving in 37 days. The days are flying by!

17 days and 22 hours. I thought that I had gone through all emotions but now I am excited like this is my first date. My son was a man when he left but when I see him he will be a Navy Man.
I am trying to get his girlfriend to go but she has exams on Tues which is the day we leave. I hope she can work it out.
