Glad that Vincent is feeling better. :-) I agree, even though I'm fairly new to N4M, this is a wonderful group and I'm glad to have found everyone!

Good morning Ladies,
Vincent is feeling much better today. He walked around last night and even went to the mall to get a pretzel from Auntie Anne's. He said he was tasting one in his sleep so he wanted to go get one. So I asked for one too. I mean since he was going. I slept like a baby last night. That was the best sleep I had since I had my beach weekend. I don't feel the anxiety now because I have been hearing from my son and Vincent and I are bonding more. Louis and I are more alike and Vincent is like his father. My EX!! You know it is sad he and Louis have not spoken to each other in five years. Five years ago I talked Louis into talking to his dad and it did not go so well. He told me that he only called him because I asked him and he doesn't want to call him again. I thought Vincent was talking to him every now and then but he has not mentioned him to me lately. And he lives right here in Columbia. Louis went to see his grandfather before he left though and his grandfather was so happy. I have been keeping him updated about Louis.

I want to thank all of you for being with me so far during this ride. I have been up down in out and around in five weeks. I have been out of control and you know how I hate that. I have poured out my heart, my angry, my sorrow, my pain and my joy to a group of women that I feel as if I have known- well forever. I am truly blessed that God allowed you to accept me into this group. I see through your eyes (and what beautiful eyes they are) what I have to look forward to in the months and years while on this roller coaster. I have learned that a mother is a mother no matter what race, nationality or religion. I have learned that you can not make it without support. I have learned that I can cry if I want to because it makes me feel better when I am finished. I am learning to be a great Navy mom because I have the BEST Navy moms at my fingertips. I have gained a lot of family members since Oct 4 that I have never met but I cry for, am proud of, pray for and love so much. One day we should start an Annual SC Navy for Moms weekend where we can talk, share photos and stories, tears, hugs, laughter, and don't forget shopping. I can learn so much from the 'been there done that' moms. I would love that. Thank you so much for caring for me and my family. I am so proud of my son, your sons and all of the Sailors in the US Navy. HOO YAH!!

Went to work but I kept hearing Vincent's voice saying, Ma I don't feel well. So I came home fed him some more soup and he is resting. I went into mommy mode and the job came second. I will take a nap until it is time for meds again.

Good morning my Navy Sisters-Vincent didn't keep anything on his stomach during the night. I just gave him soup and ginger ale. Have to go to work today so I can have time off for PIR. I hope all of you have a wonderful Friday. Hugs!!!!

Good Afternoon Ladies,
I am so excited about all the good news. I know all of you are happy too.

Welcome to all the new sisters. You will love this group of ladies.

The weather here in Columbia has been yucky all day and I have been sleeping all day. I was in the emergency room with my oldest son @ 4 am. They did some test but found nothing. He is on antibiotics, pain meds, and something for nausea. The only thing I could think of this morning was that I am not going to write my recruit if something was wrong. He has wanted to be in the Navy since elementary school and he is so close to graduating. My oldest is still not feeling well so I hope the meds kick in fast. I have been on my sofa sleeping on and off-listening to him sleep or move. I am truly tired and praying that he get better. And you know Arthur's mom has been texting me to see how he is doing. She will be coming to see him tomorrow. Wanted us to get rest today. Pray for my son my Navy Sisters.

Hippmom,thanks for your thoughts.

Just found out that recruits will be able to have overnight liberty after graduation. I am so happy. He has to be back by 9:00 pm on Sat. He told me he wanted to use the bathroom without 44 people watching and to take a shower ALONE-he will be able to do that now. Boy the things we take for granted. He had me rolling on the floor with laughter.

40 more days and the Bobster is leaving. He can't wait :-) I think I have the beginnings of the rollercoaster ride that everyone talks about :-(

Got a letter today. HOO YAH!! He sounds so good. I guess it is all down hill now. He said that his bunk is getting on his last nerve. Well it should because I couldn't get him to make up his bed. He didn't even make it up when he left for BC. Thank you Navy!!! 21 days and 16 hours.

Thanks everybody for the words of comfort. I can tell you that Arthur's mom is still crying. I spoke to her today. She wanted me to tell my Navy Sisters thank you for the support and caring about her son. She wants to meet Vincent this weekend because she never knew he felt the way he did. Surprisingly, she did not call him today and he did not call her. I know this weekend will be a tender moment. He is now writing his brother which will be the first time since he left.
Have a restful night and a wonderful Wednesday.
