Hey all. I live in Georgia about 25 miles north of Atlanta. My son went in Oct 2012 and shipped out Feb 2013 to Yokosuka Japan on the USS John S McCain. He is my only child and I miss him so much.

Hello, I'm from South Carolina and my oldest son joined the Navy 11/19/12.  He is now stationed in Yokosuka, Japan and has been there for a month.  He will be on the George Washington Nuclear Carrier.  I'm missing him so much!

Hello. My SR is in his 3rd week of BC. I'm from Mississippi also and can't wait to go to PIR! I am one proud Momma! I am also loving Nav4moms. This seems to be the only place to get any real info.

Since I'm out of school for the summer  (I'm a teacher) I do fold my laundry while watching the updates. So So Sad.

I live in Pascagoula, MS and have a Sailor Recruit.  I thought it would be nice to join the Southern Moms group because that's something everyone would have in common.  My son leaves for BC 03/28/11.
