Here is a link that you will need to check out. It is a FAQ about PCS moves and what $$'s are available.

My Base Guide

Space A Travel Eligibility
Ok, this is a very important link and I hope it stays valid if I forget to update it. Just so everybody knows, legal dependents are now allowed to travel Space A while their military sponsor is on deployment orders. If you don't know what this is it is very simple. You can fly at little cost almost anywhere in the world on a government aircraft. You sign up on a list and wait for your number to be called. So, if your sailor is deployed to say, Japan, you can jump on a Space A flight to Japan for say 30 dollars. I don't know the exact amount, but it is cheap. Take a look at this, Google Space A travel, you will get all the answers you need. If you have more questions, ask.

That's great so is it easy to get stationed in san diego that's we are wanting to get stationed there. And also my hubby got to call me from boot camp today yay haven't heard from in awhile but good news possibly, but someone told him that when he first gets to a school he needs to tell his command that I am prego and due soon. And he may get sent home to me until the babys born....so I dunno but 3 anyone hear of them ever do anything like that in our situation.???

Grad and go doesn't mean anything about when classes start. My wife's orders said she would start class Mar 13th or something like that. She still has yet to hear when she even starts the ATT or AWAT classes. My advice, come visit your husband when he gets here. Decide if you want to move down here to enjoy his company almost every day and wait with him for his A-school to get over.

I have been back and forth between here and Iowa since my wife got here. I have only been home one weekend since she got here and I can honestly say she really appreciates having me as her liberty buddy and not having to hang out with the 19 something crowd! I also like being able to spend time with her every day! Moving at your own expense is a mild hardship but worth it in my opinion. So far I like Pensacola and the weather has been a lot better than Iowa!! That is always a plus. Now I just have to figure out what to do with the rest of our stuff.

Thanks sooo much...I just don't want him to miss it if he starts class right away then he will get home two weeks before due date.... he is grad and go from boot camp doesn't that mean his class starts right away and that's why they gotta leave boot camp so quick????

Lovemysailor - no matter how long he waits, it's still not a PCS move since his class is only 5 weeks. So the move would be out of pocket and not covered by the military.

Is there anyone out there know how long it generally takes for class to start my husbands rate is airframes structural mechanic and anyones loved one in that school right now that can tell me more I know its a five week class
Comment by lovemysailor (ship 14 div 190) on April 8, 2010 at 6:06pm
And will he know when his class is supposed to start or when would he find out so that if I find out its going to take long I could just move
Comment by lovemysailor (ship 14 div 190) on April 8, 2010 at 6:05pm
Well his class is only due to be five weeks....if it ends up taking a lot longer to start his class can I just move out there and if the military knows that its is going to take like six months for his class to start and or including his five week class if its gonna equal six months will they move me out there??

Also, for any of you that want to do something really fun and will only go to the air show one day there is a reptile expo this weekend in Pensacola! This is why I am staying so long this trip. Turtles, lizards, and snakes, oh my!
Comment by Gman Navy Husband on April 8, 2010 at 10:56am
I would say try to stay on base if possible. If you come this weekend there is an air show at Eglin Air Base (Air Force)! It is going to be a blast!
