Space A Travel Eligibility
Ok, this is a very important link and I hope it stays valid if I forget to update it. Just so everybody knows, legal dependents are now allowed to travel Space A while their military sponsor is on deployment orders. If you don't know what this is it is very simple. You can fly at little cost almost anywhere in the world on a government aircraft. You sign up on a list and wait for your number to be called. So, if your sailor is deployed to say, Japan, you can jump on a Space A flight to Japan for say 30 dollars. I don't know the exact amount, but it is cheap. Take a look at this, Google Space A travel, you will get all the answers you need. If you have more questions, ask.

I do have a question about P-cola as a place to live. Is it always windy there?? I thought it was really windy this past weekend.

Ok, Chrisbunny, I don't remember if I asked about this before but can you tell me about BB status?? I am assuming you mean brown bagger and my wife is hoping to get it next week if she phases up. How does it work, what do they have to do, etc.??

One other question, if they are not phase 3 how are they supposed to get on base if they cannot have a car until phase 3 but are bb status??? I asked my wife and she has no idea.

Oh yeah, I got a small place this past weekend. I am at home in Iowa right now, but driving back down tomorrow night with the rest of my wife's things.

Also, if you all stay down there the water co. wants you to show up in person with the deposit before turning on the water!! I wish I would have known that before I drove a thousand miles home!! One other reason I am going back a day early. I just got here today, MONDAY!! My drive is 18 hours straight down with only stopping for gas!!

Mrs. Sailor- he passed his test to phase up last night too! woohoo so he is now Phase 2. I haven't talked to him yet today but he actually started AWAT today. I really hope he does class up soon. It would be better than me moving to FL and then turning around and moving once we receive PCS orders.
but..... a girls gotta do what a girls gotta do- lol

Ok, my wife just told me about this yesterday and this is important information for you and your sailors if they have pre service loans and other financial obligations.

There is a Federal Relief Act called the Service Members Civil Relief Act and it is for helping with debt. Good idea to take a look at it and remind them if they have debt with interest rates higher than 6% to get it modified down to 6%.

Here are some links to the information.
