My Base Guide

Space A Travel Eligibility
Ok, this is a very important link and I hope it stays valid if I forget to update it. Just so everybody knows, legal dependents are now allowed to travel Space A while their military sponsor is on deployment orders. If you don't know what this is it is very simple. You can fly at little cost almost anywhere in the world on a government aircraft. You sign up on a list and wait for your number to be called. So, if your sailor is deployed to say, Japan, you can jump on a Space A flight to Japan for say 30 dollars. I don't know the exact amount, but it is cheap. Take a look at this, Google Space A travel, you will get all the answers you need. If you have more questions, ask.

Chrisbunny and bulldogmamma, what do you guys do about leases?? Did they make you sign 12 month leases? We are a little worried about that. I have seen a lot of houses for rent a little all over the place. So I guess my main concern is the lease. Do you guys work down here?

We are renting a little up north about 15 min from corry @ robins place its a duplex community so its not apartment like, they are new construction and the price cant be beat.

Amber,
good luck on the job. I seen your post on the PIR group. I would get a place a little further from base. That is just based purely on how it looks so close to NAS. What do the ladies that live here think??

My opinion so far is in the middle. I am looking for places to live down here but I am considering Alabama, it isn't too far and a little cheaper. Gonna check it out today.

Any opinions about that??

Hopefully tomorrow she can go off base after INDOC. So far everything is going fine. The hotel sucks butt because it is cheap, but I get what I pay for.
