I have finally found a job.  It is only parttime but I at least have my foot in the door.  It only took me a year to find one.  How is everyon doing?  Hopefully you are all able to visit with your sailors either by internet or phone.  Hope everyone is doing alright.

Thanks Carmaletta. I still have not found a job. Have had several interviews but they all say that I am very well qualified but just don't meet their qualifications. I am sorry that I have worked for only 3 companies in my lifetime. I guess that makes me over qualified to work anymore.

Enough about me, my son is doing just great. So glad that your son got to visit with his Grandpa during his health crisis. Hope everyone else is doing great.

Sorry Navy Moms for being gone so long, but out looking for work. I have been out for several months and it is not looking good for me. I have only had a couple of interviews. Hopefully something will open up soon for me. How are all your sailors doing? Mine is doing fine. Losing weight and building up the knee muscles after his surgery late last year. He is going on his 8th year in the Navy and really loves it.

NitaBee, glad to have you on our site. The more the merrier. I will keep you in my prayers for your medical problems. I have just been visiting with my Navy son up in Nebraska where he is stationed. I helped him move into his new apartment and helped him get it all set up. I will be going home to Springfield tomorrow to help the other 4 kids get ready for school. College, High School, Middle School and Elementary school. I have it all.

P'nut & JAM, I did get a small severance package but it was only enough to see me though a short time. I am getting unemployment and hopefully I will find a new job soon. If not at home, I will probably try up in Nebraska to be close to my son.

Hey Carmaletta, still not found a new job but still looking. I just got back from visiting my Navy son up in Nebraska for the week. Had a good visit. He is moving into a new apartment the first of the month.

Good evening all you Springfield Moms. Things have not been the best in my house. Friday was my last day of work. I have worked at my job for over 14 years and they have now decided to eliminate my position. I still have a family of six to take care of here at home and don't really know what I am going to do. I have applied for 6 different positions with the company but so far heard nothing. My sailor is still doing well and he is praying that something will open up for me soon. I do get a severance package but I would really prefer to have a job every day.

Hopefully everything is going good for all of you. Hope you all have a very Happy Mother's Day tomorrow.
