from what i remember (am not sure so you can ask) housing will cover SOME cost of household good say if your place caught on fire.. so i highly recommend getting renters insurance to make sure you get everything 100% covered and when you move your house hold goods are still covered..
There was a family who were transferring and there stuff got stolen from the truck so they had nothing when they got to there new place and had to buy all new stuff.. that is what sold me on getting insurance
sub fiance' im guessing his first command is going to be a boomer then?
I love all the uniforms... really miss the utilities tho... however the bdu's without the blouse and only the pants and the blue t.. oh, yes pleaseeee! i love when my hubby comes home and takes the blouse off haha
@ Kelsi- I am so sorry your having a rough time.. it might seem like time is going by soo slow but when it is all and over with you'll look back and and relize how fast time actually went by. and i to agree TX shouldnt be that cold lol I am from TX and hearing about my little town getting snow just blows my mind it never snows in Athens, TX haha.
@ Mrs. STS- it was just a question of why he thought it was a waste of money, me thinking maybe he knew something my hubs didnt.. In deed it is his uniform and he can wear whatever he wants, but when my hubs got his digis he was told he had to wear the boomer patch did not know it was optional even though it is under the required tab on the uniform page. even though that was a yr or so ago things change ::shrugs::
and wow i hate the black and tans :/ totally miss the working whites, working blues ehh not so much.. working whites was totally see through ;D and the utilities i miss them too :( but my hubs does look good in the digis did not think i was going to like the digis cause to me some people do not look right in them and if i have to spend that much on uniforms my hubs better look dang good lol..
Kelsi i hear ya!!! my husband missed v-day thanksgiving christmas and new years this last year. :/ its difficult but you have a great group of ladies on here to help you thru!!
Navywife- he wears his boomer pin on his peanutbutters and his dress uiforms, but the BDU's i think the reason he doesnt gtet the patch and thinks its a waste of money because were at a boomer base and most guys here on on boomers so maybe if we get stationed someplace else he may get them but right now he just says no - the way i see it... its his uniform, he can wear what he wants to lol hes the one who has to wear it to work everyday not me.. One thing i am super excited about tho and im glad he gets to add the Battle "E" ribbon to his chest candy! :)
never been to the FFSC lol
thanks i wasn't sure if it was required my hubs has it on all of his old sets but since i am buying him new sets and with him being on a fast attack now wasnt sure if he was supposed to have it or not.. why do the guys think it is a waste of money? my hubs was to proud to wear his boomer pins always updated it and everything with the little stars.. his old command even told him when 1 of his stars was wrong.. he was wearing asilver star when it was supposed to be a gold star
