Yay! I just can't wait to be able to actually lay with him again at night. I know it'll be a while and I may wanna get used to this, but it's hard. Is BESS in GL or what? Could we get married during BESS or would it be better to wait until CT?

Also, police or security does drive around quite a bit at night which is also good!

There's no security at the little gate. I just moved in over here aand I love it! I'm going feel more safe when Justin leaves, since I'll be by myself and pregnant. His best friend just came to visit and his parents were here last weekend and there were no problems getting in and out of "base" housing lol since it's an unmanned gate! The upside of it is we don't pay any utilities or rent it all comes out of bah so it's one less thing I have to remember lol they're really cute esp if it's just you and your hubby, we got the 4plex. Old housing but I like it!!

lol @ ashley this was the first time ever that something had gone wrong in all the deployments we have been through so i really hope this does not turn into a trend.. luckily the jeep is still under warranty and everything got fixed for free.

BESS is basic enlisted submarine school i think it is 3-4 weeks long and after your married and done all the paperwork then you can move into housing which in CT is off base the housing i had was right across the street. and yes he will be able to move in with ya.

And also, how exactly will that work with me moving where he is? Will that be on or off base and can he even live with our son and I? Uhh it's so nice to finally have people to answer my million questions lol.

Navywife: That just sounds like an awful week! We had just gave my fiancee's car to his brother the day before he left thinking we wouldn't need it. Well now my car is acting up and I can't even drive on the highway to school anymore. A 15 minute ride turned into an hour ride...Ahh the joy's!

What exactly is BESS? And how long is the schooling total? I really plan on it, but it may be hard to maneuver with me in school fulltime as well til August:(

omg what a week i have had first my hubs Jeep breaks down on me not once but 3 times while i had my son and a 3 month old baby.. we just got this jeep like 2 months ago 2009 jeep :/.. then i took my son and the girl who was helping meout for pizza at the bowling alley on base and when we were leaving my son got hit by the bowling alley dor in his face so had to rush him to the er.. of course all this would happen while hubs is deployed.. so glad this week is over

Hi everyone. I joined this group to find out more about SECF. My fiance is in BC right now and I have no idea what to expect afterwards, any insight would be great. We want to get married sometime in the future, just unsure when and how to go about that. His recruiter told us not to when he found out we were going to get married Dec. 2nd:( Said he wouldn't have been able to join. This is all so confusing to me!
