@ JohnnyMac'sGirl
yay...congrats
i have pics of my old place in kingsbay but they are not good pics at all like i have a pic of my car in front of the place and then pics of my hubs in the living room and pics of my son in kitchen and his room..
housing used to be privatized but it is now own by a civilian company.. they are wanting to open it to the public (don't know when that will happen)
This is the link to the owners of the housing in kingsbay...
housing in kingsbay is not on base it is right beside the base.. you do not need a id to get into base housing.. a house was robbed right across the street from me. yes base police patrol housing but it is just like living off of base except you dont have to pay utilities.
and the housing sucked the new housing like the ones they just built are really really nice but i think that is officer and chief housing. and i think E6 can live in it too.and they have refurbished housing but it still sucks nice and ugly.
the link above will take you to navy housing just click on kinsgbay ga
been to fl many times when i was in kingsbay didnt see as many mosquitoes there.. i mean they get bad to where when i would go to walk my dog i would have to get a mosquito fogger spray out my front door wait a few minutes then walk out as i am walking spraying behind me.. and you can see them dropping.. 1 time i counted how many i killed and i lost count after 65 it was bad.. and then the big big one's where like the size of my hand and it felt like a freaking shot when they would bite. you could hear them coming from a mile away.. but kingsbay is a swamp so that is to be expected.. i liked kingsbay even though they had mosquitoes on steroids, school system sucked, housing sucked, and entertainment was none existent.. the little town def. made it feel more like i was back home in TX.. and i loved the schedule my hubs had on the sub.
