Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Our wedding is going to be not big, but not too little. We're having it at this old little white church, the CUTEST thing ever lol it's very simple lol nothing fancy at all, i hope it's going to be as cute as we picture. i'll have pictures on FB whenever it happens lol right now i have pics of the bouquets and whatnot.

i think small and simple is the way to go :)

ahh 2012 is so far away! but it's so exciting! lol everything is excitin! i'm so ready for this new life to start! i'm hoping kingsbay is nice.

do you or anyone know whaat kind of housing is in the area? or if we live off base, where i should stay away from? i'm looking online, and Justin will be going to look at them, since i'm staying here and waiting for him to find a decent place!

Mrs.STS- He's going to be on the USS Maryland, as an mm! Blue crew I believe! I def want to look into different classes, to keep busy until I find a new job haha that should hopefully keep me busy as well.

Johnnymac- we should! I'm so excited! Have you been to Groton before? I went in September! Make sure you visit old mystic (right next to the aquarium) It's so cute! And If you stay at the navy lodge they have a book of things going on for the weekend and different things to do!

Emily- also there are very good resources down here, fleet and family has a spouse 101 class, im going to the one next ween, just for something to do.. but they also have a compass class and a bunch of other support classes and groups. :) keep in touch when u get down here!! Maybe your sailor will be on my hubbys boat!

Emily- I live in kingsbay, what boat is your sailor going to be on?!

kate, as long as you have a power of attorney and are married you should be able to set it up and move down on your own whle hes on patrol.

Hey ladies :) so my sooooon to be hubby, :), just got his orders for kingsbay! I'll probably be moving there after he comes back from his first deployment. Are there any other wives in kingsbay? And what is there to do? I grew up around the navy and my mom always went to the USO and did different things, are there still things like that? Or support groups? Lol I'll be by myself! Anyway to meet new people and make new friends would be awesome! Thanks :)

Decorating is fun, and being a Navy spouse you get to do it freaquently! :) were on our second one now. lol going to make it 3rd come april-ish time
