OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Thanks, BarbaraJane!

Terrie/Yvonne: Hubby, Daughter, and I are going to Bangor Oct 22-27. Sis has a "mini-break" where she gets the Fri & Mon off from school (and we'll play hooky for the other two)!

Hey, folks! There's a big airfare sale going on now through Thursday! Check your favorite airlines to see what they've got going. I just got round trips from Indy to Seattle for $198! Hugs, k.

Jerri, We will be staying for a few days. I also need the email address for the FRG. I'm looking forward to meeting other Miami families. I think we will be staying in Mystic because that's where Alex is living. Thanks for the important info. Lyn Love.

My husband weighs the same as he did 28 years ago when we got married. I cook, he eats, I gain. My younger son has problems keeping weight on. My older son, the sailor, watches his weight but at 6'1" and 175lb, he looks good. Me - I am fat, sassy and happy. But thinking about dieting ....

No questions around here are stupid ones! If you'll go to my page, there's a blog entry all about Dolphins and why they're so special.

The only advice is good for ANY sailor, sub or "skimmer" (that's what submariners call surface sailors): "Demonstrate your work ethic by always being ready to pitch in. And always have your shipmate's back, except when he's doing something stupid, unethical, or illegal."

Oh, and the most important advice? "CALL YOUR MOTHER!" ;-) k.
