Ladies,
I just received this from my company's IT department.

A form of the well known Facebook virus that appeared late last year has begun to resurface.

If you receive an email (in any mailbox) that appears like it was sent from one of your Facebook friends and has a video/file download link you should DELETE IT IMMEDIATELY! The links leads to a file download that is really a Trojan virus that can wreak havoc while searching the internet.

Tanya, great advice! Teresa, we sent a disposable razor with him also, so he could just throw it away the morning they left Pittsburgh. Just be prepared for the arrival of THE BOX. You may be certain you are prepared for the whole BC process, but when that box arrives we all just sit down and cry. So buy a big box of tissues and remember we are all her for you.

Anita, I know of only one other CONNECTICUT mom: Paula (click her name). She'll probably be real happy to hear from you! k.

Goodness, I don't mean to be so chatty today, just got things to say!

Do any of you knit? The website KnittingDaily.com just released a collection of "7 Free Baby Knitting Patterns." One of them is a baby blanket with a field of open-work stars, each about 4-5 inches in diameter. Perfect for any Navy baby! You have to be a subscriber to their newsletter, but it's free and I recommend it for knitters. (More) hugs, k.

Georgette, there are a slew of NEBRASKA moms around here! On my list: birdlegs, Cindy, Debbie Harmon, Gay, Hope, Jason's mom, Karen, Lee Maye, Lori, Mom to J & K, Sally, and now YOU!

Find these ladies easily by putting "uss nebraska" in the 'Search' box at the top of the page. And would SOMEBODY on that boat start a USS NEBRASKA group? -- Lord knows ya'll got enough members! Hugs, k.

Bea S., There's already a group doing just what you've suggested: Sailor Rescue (click on the title). It's a great idea and has "resuced" quite a few young people!

Thanks for the heads-up about the release from Wendy. I'll make sure she doesn't try to pull a fast one on me! Hugs, k.

Ladies,
I thought a catalog of points of assistance would be useful for our guys when they are traveling across country. Please keep the discussion thread to information ONLY. If you have a need, post here and someone on the route should add you as a friends and make contact with you directly. DO NOT post your sailor last name, your last name here, phone number or address here. The discussion title is "SUBMARINER'S HOME-AWAY-FROM-HOME PIT STOPS." I thought if we had a network of contact points, we'll all feel better when our sailors are traveling. Besides, this may be an opportunity for some of us to meet face-to-face. Any suggestions welcome.
Regards, B.
