Well, we put our Sailor on a plane back to Bangor this morning :-(
It's raining now, to match my mood.

But, we sent him home a couple of pounds heavier and with a tan... the rainy northwest and a submarine don't make for much sunshine!

Here's an idea I though of AFTER he left... while your sailor is home, secretly mail a card to his base mailbox. Then, when he returns to base and gets his mail, there's an "I Love You" waiting for him! Thanks for being here with me during the happy times and the blue ones. Hugs, k.

Hi Everybody: Congrats to those how get to hug their sailor's. What a treat. Grab an extra one for those of us how get to miss the chance. Our sailor is home, and has a duty change from the Penn to shore duty. This will be a huge blessing for 'his girls'. We've not heard how they are doing, but are sure that with him home things are easier. So, I'm hoping it is okay for me to keep reading your posts, and hang around this group - even though he won't be on a sub any more? I sure hope so - I have lerned a lot here and appreciate each of you. My angel blessings to all ~s

I gave deborah a list of moms for her boat. Since there are at least 7 USS WYOMING moms now, someone should start a group for it (just an idea)!

BTW, I've counted 7 USS PENNSYLVANIA moms and 9 USS NEBRASKA moms around here... so I hope they their own groups too. I'm proud (and boastful) to say that there are 10 USS ALABAMA moms in our group, which by my count, makes us the largest submarine group. Roll Tide! k.

Kelly just give him some time I remember my sons first letter from BC He wasn't happy either , but he has since reenlisted, so I guess it really wasn't that bad. It still is very hard to hear our children are not happy. your in my prayers.

When my son Alex was in boot camp, I got letters about how he hated it. How miserable he was, etc.,etc. I felt awful but all I could do was sent encouraging cards and letters. After the PIR, he told me that he didn't mean what he wrote, that he was just letting off steam. He's now an ET on the Miami.

Hi Kaye!
So, your son's a golfer! Let him know that his next round at Gold Mountain is on me, if he's interested in joining me. I've played with a couple of guys on the 'Bama already that are very good players (can't remember names or crew though), and I'd love the chance to meet him, and knock the ball around.
