Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My sailor seems very disappointed that he hasn't received his dolphins yet even though he's passed his boards over a month ago?
He said the quals are being tracked differently now and the system has been down.

Comment by WearsLargeHats on March 6, 2020 at 1:06am: SubMom, check with the FRG, but IIRC, 1/2-way bags are usually put together by spouses who are local, and sometimes parents or other family who are not local. That leaves some "unaccompanied" sailors who don't have anyone to make a bag them. The FRG will have a project to make 1/2-way bags for the single sailors so that everyone gets one.

I understand the 1/2 way box and am working on one for my sailor. I was wondering if anyone that’s in another state has sent a bag for mail drop or just included the bag in the 1/2 way box. Also what is the single sailor bag?
