Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Isn't it a small world.. To think I just left there last fall after 30 years. If you guys have shopped there in the past, I used to own the Art supply store next to the Outlaw restaurant. Not it is a mining supple store :(

My Mom lives in Montrose so we visit the area often.

Comment by TJ Proudnavymom on August 4, 2015 at 11:02am: Yeah, I agree about Ouray. When we decided to leave Denver we wanted to move to Ouray but there was no way we could make a living there so we moved to Montrose and visited Ouray A LOT.

I'd never done the trail before. I had to remind myself that thousands of people have done it. I'm usually ok about heights but that one? It was a challenge. I made it to Engineer Pass in just over 3 hours :)

I have done that trail many times. I miss Ouray just with it was not so expensive to live there and so hard to make a living.

Glad you had fun. I used to live just up the road from the KOA
