tina41, congratulations!!!!  I can only imagine how proud you are of him!!!  I am hoping mine will to when the time comes, who knows!!

COtwin, good for your son for looking ahead!  Not many do that. Good for him!

I did read about the tragedy of the baby and the mom today, how horribly sad is that.  My heart breaks at such a useless and tragic loss.  I hope the "person" rots in, well, you know.

Hello all!!

Well my son is re-enlisting!  So proud of him!!

Thanks all.... My sailor is an EM3. He wants to re-up now so he can get a house off base, He wants to buy a condo or house as an investment. When he is done with his 2nd round he would like to go to the academy.  He wants to experience life as an enlisted before going to the academy. This son is a good fit for the Navy. See how he does once on a sub.

Congrates UBU's mom.

Lots of sad news. The 11 who lost their lives in the helicopter crash.  The seal this week. More close to home I am sure all have heard of the woman that was attacked and her unborn baby cut out and stolen. Mom survived, thank God. Baby did not. This happened in my neighborhood.

My son is going to the USS Scranton, Norfolk Va. Yeah!  Norfolk is closer to home!  I don't write on FB much, but I have read and have learned a lot from FB ever since my son was in the delayed entry program 3 years ago! I can't believe its been 3 years! My heart hurts for the service members in the helicopter crash and the parachute accident. Prayers being said daily for them and their families.

I have a question, What is a "sea dad"? (referenced below in comment by Linda). I haven't seen anything about that yet.. I don't know how I'm going to deal with his first deployment. That won't be for a while yet, (in port for maintenance, upgrades). Worries me now though!  Bless you all!

Yay the Blue Angels are in town. So cool!

How to say goodbye again! Spent the weekend helping him get ready for his first deployment. Shopped at the NEX for all of his supplies. Gave his command the halfway bag with goodies. Took his sea dad and his family out to dinner to say Thankyou. Had a great visit but I cried saying goodbye. I am not looking forward to not being able to talk or text him for months. His goal is to qual for his division and get his fish his first time out. That would be awesome if he does
I will miss you son. Praying that God will keep you and the crew safe and sound

My son will be joining the Gold Crew of USS Wyoming the last week of March.  He just graduated from his A school and is on transfer leave.

Please keep in your prayers the families of the 11 service members (7 Marines, 4 Army) whose helicopter crashed in the waters of Pensacola Florida, last night & are presumed dead. So, so sad.
