So happy to read all your good news. Happy homecomings coming your way to Giselda, OklahomaMama, Carols_kitchen andTysmom Goin to Hawaii!, Happy Travels!

I am enjoying my Sailor. We have one more week to go before we say our farewells. I wish I wouldn't count the days and just focus on the ones where he's here but my husband and I say that since our boys both left that's all we do is live for countdowns!

CoTwin perfectly understandable that you might wonder what the relationship might be between Sailors and Marines. I know everyone already gave great advice to you on this but I'll add my two cents for what it's worth. My oldest Kevin is a Sailor and my youngest Ryan is a Marine! They have the most amazing conversations that my husband and I find hilarious. Yes, there's a  very healthy competition between the two services but absolutely nothing to worry about. I am so excited to hear about your new adventure. How wonderful your son is encouraging you to join in too. Can't wait to hear more about you going to culinary school, too cool!

Glad everyone enjoyed the watermelon sub, ProudNavyMom#1 thanks for sharing :-D I haven't made it yet but I'll let you know how it goes. My husband is in charge of it! I've got some other ideas too but want to see how they turn out first. I ordered a Lego Sailor from Amazon for around $5 and free shipping if anyone is interested. Didn't feel like digging and searching for one in my boys 1000's of tiny lego pieces..lol.

Love the watermelon sub.  My son is suppose to come home end of June.  I will have to make it.  I like the Lego Sailor.  My son has always loved Lego's.

Diana, thanks for posting the link for the watermelon submarine!  I meant to but have been traveling and out of communication for a couple of days.  I've missed my Navy moms!!!  I'm thinking I'd like to make the submarine for when my Sailor comes home, hopefully in August.

Tysmom, it's nice and warm and humid here in Hawaii!!!  I'm sure you will enjoy the change of weather!!

The watermelon submarine shows you how to carve a watermelon to look like a sub and place watermelon cubes back in for a party center/talkingpiece.
Kevsmom your link is a HIT! HAHAHAHA thank you for sharing this with us.
All, kevsmom93 is making it for her Sailor's farewell party who will be leaving for his first assignment soon.

susank, that was the most funniest article I have ever read.  It sounds just how my son has described being on the sub.  I am sending it to him to read.

ProudNavyMom#1, what is the watermelon submarine?

Also have any of you seen the article " United States Navy. Submarine Centennial. Submarine Simulation. Life Aboard a Submarine." It is really funny. I will try to find the link. I am not computer savvy so I will ask for help from hubs or daughter.

Thanks Marc, So you live there? That is good Bakery info. I need to find out how feasible it is to be able to open right on base. Don't want to be next door to a tat place, like here get a donut and a tattoo LOL.  Now we need to hope that when my nuke is finished he ends up there.
