I did not hear anything on the halfway box and when to send it. I did get on the ombudsman list late. Hope he is not too disappointed. His halfway should be about January or February.

Recently found out that our sailor, who is in HI, is going to be coming east for a week starting Sunday! So excited to see him before his long sub trip starts! I guess his plans to go see his girlfriend didn't work out, and since he'll already by in Calif, he'll graba flight east to see all of us.

My son is underway for the holidays. I found a travel battleship game to put in his box. I thought the guys would get a kick out of it since it is a navy type game. Plus, I figured it was a little gift to open while underway. Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope you all get to hear from your Sailors.

Halfway boxes are opened when they are "half way" through their deployment (mine is out approximately 6 months) - hoping it will be a little less than 6 months!!!

Best day in a very long time!!!  I received an email from my sailor this morning!!!  They opened their halfway boxes some time this week and he enjoyed 2 of the 4 packages of beef jerky!  That's always a staple when we send him a box of "stuff"!!!  Have a wonderful weekend and joyous holidays!!!
