Oh man I was going to go to Denver today but am going tomorrow afternoon.

We did like it. It was recommended by a Chicago native friend. The mall wa the GL Mall. I think his RDC was the one that said to avoid it.

The hubs and I just pulled in to the Denver metro. We're only here for a whirlwind trip but I'm gonna catch up with you one of these trips.

Loved the pizza, did you like it? They ship it frozen!!

The big outdoor mall? we were recommended to go there via the Navy Lodge. Had no issues. Actually went to both as the first twin we went into Chicago and went to the one there as well. Didn't have as long of a wait at the mall one.

Pauls Pasta is good. There are places they are told to avoid. Groton Townhouse is good home cooked meals.

We went to giordanos as well but not the one near the mall. My sailor was told to avoid the mall as a trouble spot.

This is where we went for our pizza. It was close and in a mall. So my sailor shopped also, got some earphones for his music, and some shower shoes.

Congrates to all PIR new sailors. You will have a blast. We took ours out for deep dish pizza. Kinda funny that they had been there for a couple of months and never off base!!

We did a poster board with navy pins....handwritten notes as well as ribbons.  It was haphazard at best but I thought the best of the floor doors!!! He REALLY enjoyed reading the handwritten stuff.  We only had a few hours with him right after PIR.  The only thing he wanted to do was take a shower and have time alone in the room with his family.  We did go to dinner at a steak house.  He had to be back in barracks by 6:00p.  He was flown the next day to Groton, CT. We were able to meet him at the airport.  The Navy/airlines provided gate passes for the family so that we could wait with him to fly out.  We were there for many hours but I did not mind it as it was more time with my boy!!
