Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Comment by ProudNavyMom#1 on January 22, 2015 at 5:22am: Just write him a love letter encouraging him to keep up the good work and cheers like you got this! You can do this! I'm so proud of you son! Hey there Sailor! Etc. something that can make him laugh and make his journey enjoyable. Ok well. A bit better anyway. It could be a greeting card or a prayer card although they don't talk much about their religious preferences with each other. But just something that will remind him how much you love him or how silly you are or something like that. Whatever your comfort level and relationship is with your son. A halfway box is a one gallon bag that he will receive halfway through the deployment. Where ever they stop for fresh air food or whatever other reason. They love to receive packages from home :)

Comment by Linda on January 19, 2015 at 9:10pm: Spent the day driving my sailor back to th base. He slept the entire way back. Haha. Took Brody and a few of his friends out to lunch. Two of them are leaving soon for deployment. We went to publix and Walmart to get what they needed to get packed. I asked them both if they had called their moms they smiled and said yes. Before I left I hugged them again and told them this is for your moms since they cannot be here. they were both anxious about deploying. I do not think you can really prepare for your first patrol. You just have to experience it first hand. Please keep these sailors in your prayers. Happy I had the opportunity to spend time with my son and his friends today.
