KWL's mom I also loved your son's poem. My son received his dolphins within the last week. Info was passed on to us from DIL. I did not know about the research project-always learning. The main reason for posting is that while visiting our sailor in Charleston we visited the Hunley and the scientific studies that are being conducted. So interesting and sad. If your sailor is ever in the area he should take the tour. It would really tie it together. The Hunley is kept in sea waters while they study it.

Congrats KWL! Love the recipes. What a great idea. My son turned 23 this past Monday. Time really does fly. Communication will be limited for the next few months but looking forward to seeing him again in early summer. It will have been 17 months since I've gotten to hug him by then.

I like all the recipe fun suggestions. I like Ballast for deserts. I started and I think we need a new discussion for each different section. I started with Galley which should be main courses and Sea Kelp for salads.

KWLs, congrats to your son. I am sure we are all guilty of just telling the good about our sailors. Sometimes it is hard to write about something not going well for our boys. Especially when we are not there to comfort them.

The dessert section could be called  - Ballast!

Congratulations KWLs Mom.  I too would like permission to share that poem with my son.
