Lynn G. Best of luck to your son. It sounds like the Navy has helped your son in so many ways. Glad to know he is going back to college & taking advantage of the military benefits.

John and Yvonne: That's good news about the ministry in your home. I will check out our page and would like your number so I can pass it on to him. I'll be praying for your ministry in VA Beach.

Jenco911 - Being a submariner is sort of like eating an elephant - you do it one bite at a time. In the Navy there are always more quals (qualifications). As long as he stays focussed and keeps working, he will be fine!

Hello everyone! My son is still in RT but his job is SECF so he's headed to Groton after he graduates. Praying he does well. Reading everything that submariners have to do and qualify for is overwhelming!

Cath Bubblehead, Best of luck with your new life in Florida. What a surprise that you moved to Florida, just in time to miss a New England winter!

Ladies, been watching, following quietly since then, so good to hear all is well for you and your sons. I still have an 11 year old son who is heavily involved in activities after school so I am always short on time. My son has been deployed, underway multiple times and I no longer feel debilitating anxiety when he goes, know he will be just fine, and perhaps in his case, it's even better, time passes faster, when he is underway and so busy. I occasionally comment to offer info or help along a newbie mom but mostly just enjoy seeing all the success and accomplishments that pour in daily. Stay well ladies, lots of love and good wishes, hope we get to meet again before too long, Rebecca

LindaGirl - that's wonderful news! Yes, Rebecca, you, I & LindaGirl had lunch almost 2 years ago. My son is stationed at Kings Bay and we just moved to Florida, so hopefully we will get to see him soon.

Hi Rebecca, I do remember our lunch date, & the fun we had meeting each other. Thank you for offering your son to talk with mine, if need be. Luckily, he has an older brother who went through everything my youngest will be going through at Groton, so I know he'll be getting a lot of advice from his older brother, who is now stationed in Hawaii on a sub.

Hi @LindaGirl It's Rebecca from CT My son has been a Machinist Mate on a Sub stationed here in Groton for several years now. I think we met at lunch?! Please message me if you have any questions or if your son would like to talk to my son to ask questions. Congrats it is a great job!
