I just found this and thought it was cute...

My sailor.Submariner

I love My Sailor so deeply and true

He is my Husband, my Friend and a Daddy too

He chose his fate when signed that line

To become a Submariner and serve his time

As the Submarine is prepped and the workday ends

He comes home to tell me, "It is that time again"

The night before "The Boat" gets underway

We prepare ourselves for that dreaded day

He Packs his sea bag so snug and tight

For it will be time to leave at dawn's early light

With his sea bag across his shoulder

and the tears in his eyes we know it is time for all the goodbyes

My Sailor and his crew are running silent and deep

Protecting our freedom while awake or asleep

For the beautiful flag flies freely in the wind

My sailor will proudly salute it until the very end

You should be able to apply for financial aid just like you normally would.
Comment by Sash on July 16, 2010 at 8:23pm
Oh cool.. do u know if u can still apply for financial aid?

If you are married to a servicemember you don't pay out of state tuition. That is one of the perks of being married to a man in the military.

ya that would not help me at all. I wanted to move to hawaii where he's based and go to school there but out of state tuition is like 11 grand!! I wouldnt be able to afford it.

I go to Ashford University online and since My CAA is closed down they are doing something where you don't pay for books and it's 350$ off of each class.
Comment by luvinmatt on July 15, 2010 at 8:28pm
The Navy does not really pay for anything for spouses education. They had My CAA funds which were good for up to 6K of schooling but it is closed down right now until further notice.

joesphsproudwifey- He does like Hawaii. He's been on hold there since hes got there though. So hes basically been on like a mini vacation. He said he should start working on the ship either today or tomorrow. so we will see

luvinmatt- i think he wanted WA more then GA because its closer to Cali where we r from and he likes cold weather lol..

I have a question (it might be a dumb one) but does the Navy help pay for schooling for wives?
Comment by luvinmatt on July 12, 2010 at 2:04pm
It is just a "c" school for a specific type of boat and his rate which is an ET. Nukes have their own "c" schools.
