Please, please remember before you post: our sons are part of a Special Operations community, even while in training, and it is vitally important to form the habit of not divulging any information that could possibly compromise the safety of any of their members. This would especially apply to names, dates, places, procedures, etc. You might like to read the "Discussion Forum" titled "OPSEC" for some guidance. If you are still in doubt, please ask one of our members for their opinion by private message before you post. We are here to help each other, but we must be careful at all times.

LOVE & peace will see him through.  My prayers go out for you and his family...it will all work out for the best because of your mutual love for your sailor!

Due to security of our Warriors you will not find any SWCC ceremonies online due to security.  It's a total different security level than GL graduation which can be viewed online. Have you read OPSEC?  It will be up to him whom to personally invite to SWCC graduation/pinning ceremony & limited invites must go through security clearance before attendance.

Sorry I corrected my comment...

Yes, Navy_gf2012, a wonderful, monumental once in a lifetime SWCC pinning ceremony, unforgettable & very emotional, so bring your kleenex!  This ceremony will not be displayed on line due to security for our Warriors. I know you are very proud of him! Much love & prayers for him, you and his family...God bless all our SWCC sons & families! ((hug))

Hi everyone.  First I am in awe of you and your sailors for what they do and you go through and I hope to not experience some of what you do.  But as things sink in I seem to be accepting.  My son is heading to Virginia for training in an area that isn't swcc but puts him in similar situations.  He is an ET who will be supporting mobile communications with the team I guess is as I understand it.  So if there is a group out there that you could suggest for me that would be great.  He is coming home today for a week and heading to Little Creek from here.  Thanks for any advice!

That is so great Navy_gf2012!  I am so glad his mom is keeping you in the loop!  Hopefuly closer to PIR she will change her mind about you going.  I know there are only 4 spots per sailor so it can be hard.  I have heard that people can go and be on standby to get into graduation if spots are available..  Maybe that could be an option.

I am sure your shippers will get to know each other too. How old is your boyfriend? Hang in there darlin!  You will make it!

My son began his SWCC journey this past week. He arrived at boot camp in Great Lakes and his PIR is scheduled for May 16th.  I know it is going to be a crazy ride! lol

I feel so blessed to have such great support from these groups!  I have learned so much already from these pages.

Looking forward to the journey!
