Waiting for "I'm a sailor" call... should get the call today!

What a handsome young sailor!  I don't understand the details of deployment yet, but I would have thought he'd have a longer time period before going out again.  Are there ever enough hugs?

Only three weeks until PIR! I'll be eating ramen noodles for the next month, but would still like to get together sometime. Gwen, is the Dutch Inn still around? I may have the name wrong(?)

From what I've been told, the pants were rolled up when they were fitted for their boots.  Kim, you should get your form letter soon!  I made my travel reservations today.  Now I just have to figure out how to get from O'Hare to the motel...  I'd walk to see her at this point!

hey navy1 - they were rolled up....is there a reason they do that?  I didn't think anything of it - just typical packing style of my son - roll it and shove it in.... lol

Hey Kim... Were the legs of his pants rolled up?

he just left on 13th and today I got his "box".  Looking forward to form letter and hope he took time to give poor old mom a note or some little tidbit.... :-)

Hey all ....took him to lunch, then to Recruiters office.  They have arrived at hotel and he just sent me text of hotel address and says  they are just hanging out.  We are going to airport tomorrow and that is probably when it will get real to me.  Might head out to take him some dinner and spend just one more minute with my young man before they send him back as a sailor and a man......
