It is torture, he called me at 3 a.m. Saturday morning a little scared because they told them to stay inside because of the riots.  It's expensive for him to call from the hotel, so he calls his girlfriend and she texts me, it's driving me crazy not being able to talk to him.  He is going to the USS Ponce.  There are 5 sailors waiting, 2 for the Ponce and 3 for the Carter Hall.  He got to come home because he was still in A school at Great Lakes and they shut the base down for the holidays.  He didn't get the whole 2 weeks because he came home at Thanksgiving too.  He was so homesick he couldn't wait for Christmas.  He was here 4 days then and 9 at Christmas.

Well he was home at Christmas for a week and his room was a wreck when he left, but he always looked nice when he went out, his pants fit him and didn't hang off him.  So I guess it's a start.  He left last week to meet his ship and he has been sitting in a hotel in Bahrain since Thursday and doesn't know when he will get to his ship.

The graduation and transformation will be amazing to see.  My son had put on some weight too.  He got to stay with us in the hotel for the weekend.  He was showing us how to fold clothes and pillow cases, it was funny.  He took pride in how he looked and that was good because before he left, he could care less.
