Middle Tennessee Moms - There is a half and full marathon running on our scheduled meet and greet date. Unfortunately, this is going to cause a road closure on the road that the restaurant is on. For that reason and the other traffic/parking issues associated with the marathon, I propose that move the meeting to the next weekend. We have several families that aren't able to attend this weekend and with the move, hopefully more will be able to participate. Please RSVP and let me know if you agree with the change.
Hi there Middle Tennessee families. It's time to confirm for Saturday's meet and greet. Please message me if you think you can make it. Hope to see you there. The Flying Saucer in Nashville at 11:30. Details listed on the Events calendar. Just click the events tab at the top of the page. :)
Hi there fellow Navy Moms. I'm looking forward to seeing you again soon. Our next meeting is November 9th at 11:30 AM. We will be meeting at the Flying Saucer in downtown Nashville. It's located just behind the Union Station Hotel. For those not familiar with the area. From Broadway, turn at the light between the Union Station Hotel and the Frist Art Museum. The Flying Saucer is located in the last section of the building just behind the Union Station. Parking is available just behind there. Hope to see you soon. Message me or respond here so I can keep up with the head count. Thanks.
Had a wonderful time meeting the Navy families in the Middle Tennessee area. For those that couldn't join us today, we hope to see you at our next get together in November. More details to be posted once I confirm location availability. Hope to see you there. Thanks again to the Navy families that came out today. It was a pleasure meeting you.
bryters - Thanks for the info. That's a great idea.
West Tn moms will meet the Second Tue in Sept. at Colletta's in Bartlett. 6pm you can RSVP me at 901-218-3715 or just show up.
Stacy, I asked our local recruiter if they had any give aways for our meeting, and they gave us stickers, stress balls ( we would never need them, lol) key chains and all some random stuff. Just an idea!
Jan C - I just got back from Great Lakes and saw your post about South of France. Wow! If you get a chance, can you bring some of those pictures next Saturday. I would love to see them.
Hey there. We're still a go for next weekend. I'm working with Nashville Recruiting District to get the word out to DEP families. Our request has been sent to the district commander. Also, I'm still trying to reach our district's Omsbudman (Navy wife liason) to get the word to them as well. The recruiting district's website had a link to the wrong person. So our initial request went unanswered. However, I was able to get the name of the new person. Unfortunately, the number they gave me is ringing a fast busy. I will call the recruiting office again on Monday to see if there's another number or email. I confirmed with Blackstone today for ten, but I'm hoping more will be able to come once the recruiting district gives it the go ahead for sharing our information. Since we are new, it's likely that our first meeting will be small. We're likely to grow as time goes on and have a much larger crowd in November. Can't wait to meet everyone. See you at the Blackstone 11:30 next Saturday (Aug. 24th).
:)
