OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

To our dear neighbors, we wanted to extend an invitation to you:

Time: August 22, 2009 from 12pm to 4pm

Location: East Cobb Park, Marietta, GA

A summer time gathering for all of our Navy family, friends and a few sailors too!!! Come out and enjoy a beautiful day at this nice park in Marietta. It is a covered pavilion and a beautiful park. Bring a side dish to share and a meat to grill for your family. Perhaps we can put together a game of softball, volleyball or old fashion croquet! Bring your games and happy faces!!! All are welcome!

Details are posted in the "Events" August 22nd - a Day at the Park...

What a fabulous turnout this evening! I think MCPON West was truly honored and flattered that each of you took time out to meet with him today. I was truly pleased at how sincere he was and what a great evening it was overall.

I know we'll be getting pictures posted soon. Thanks to each of you for taking time out for this event.
