Hi I am from Silsbee.  My son left for BC almost 2 years ago.  I can't believe it has already been that long.  What is your daughter's rate?

Hello, Matts Mom, well my daughters been there a week on today.. waitng call from cheif to let me know her division. So I'm a fresh mom...

I remember how it felt when Matt left for BC not really knowing what to expect and of course worrying about them and how they will handle all it but then before you know it they have graduated from BC, which by the way is an AWESOME experience, graduated A school and on to their duty station.  I called Matt's recruiter about a week after he left and he was able to give me his mailing address before I received the box.  He is now stationed in Washington state and will be there for the next several years.  Do you live in Beaumont?  Me and another local mom and a couple from Houston area have gotten together for a packing party and to sew pillowcases that we send to the troops serving overseas.  We would love to have you join us and if you have any questions I will be glad to answer them if I can.
Hello we are from Orange! our son is an ET and is in Prototype school now in NY.he started 3-14-2011.he grad.BC on 1-15-10.Matts Mom is right about BC grad, its the best one I have been to yet! it was many divisions grad.that day 11 of them!! it was AWESOME. I remember recieving my sons box...he had written a letter to his dad and I while he was on flight to Great Lakes.that was a little comforting and I still have it I have kept everything every letter ect... yeah te box will tug at your heart but really she is in good hands.my sailor had a couple of girls in his division and he said they were just as tough as the guys, actually tougher then some of them lol. she will be fine and will love recieving letters from home! no stickers of any sort on them just a stamped letter. if you dont hear from her dont get to worried they are very very busy and their first priority is sleep which needless to say dont get much of.good luck to her
triceymom and tammie ruth I am so excited to connect with other Navy Moms in our area!  I have been on Navy for Moms since before Matt left for BC and each group that I joined along his journey in the Navy has been so supportive and helpful.  When he was away at BC there would be times that I would be really missing him and worrying about him and unless someone has been through this experience before they just don't get it but I would get on our PIR group and there would be other moms feeling the same way and we would all work through it together.  When I first started reading the post I would see moms saying "just wait until you receive your kid in a box" and I had no clue what that meant and of course I was thinking the worst so I finally asked someone and they explained it to me. lol  I went into my son's room and asked him if he knew what it was and he was like "oh yeah I didn't tell you about that".  I don't think I would have handled it as well if I didn't know to expect it.

Hi. well did ya get the box yet?I have been checking on here from time to time wondering how your daughter is doing? and you too for that matter.....??? hope all is good...

Hello Tammyruth, I recevied her box but I have not yet received her form.. I'v been so nervous I pray all is well and she not sicks.. I'm have a rough time I'm home alone and all I wonder about is my babygirl ok..I ask that you just pray for us..I think whenever I get her form and hear her voice I will be ok..But for now I'm sadden...it's been two weeks..and the only thing I got was the box. and her ship/div from the recruiter...No Mail  I'm hoping I will get something in the mail soon.. thanks
It might be a couple more weeks before you get any mail from her.I know my ET sailor looked forward to all the letters I could send.I wrote him every other day lol.he told me he needed the support and was really glad that i wrote often.when you least expect it thats when you will get it lol.the recruiter should be able to give you the address since you have the ship/division number,,,   remember she does not have a lot of time in BC to write so dont get to discouraged believe me she is thinking about you to  [ In ways she never has] and is gaining some wisdom she has earned through hard work and dedication, you will be so pleased when you see your new Navy daughter and she will be pleased in all she has learned and accomplished....glad to have heard from you....hang in there
