Pearl Harbor MA - here is her answer:

"If he has the G.I.Bill and I do believe that, that will cover a trade school. He can go to va.gov (I think thats the web addy) and look up G.I. Bill benefits."

Hey everybody.  My son got home today after Clinicals in San Antonio.  He had some great experiences this week at the hospital and really feels like his future options are wide open!  I think he will be home for 2 whole weeks!  Then on to Jacksonville, FL at a Naval Hospital I think.  I need to start writing stuff down because I can't remember the details.   Welcome to the new moms!

I am not sure - but I'll ask some really knowledgeable Navy people!!  My son is also considering doing some sort of trade school - so I am interested in this as well.

I do know that we live near some Federal prisons.  I did income tax for a Marine (who is not in anymore).  He said that he got money for on the job training at the prison.  So, I bet they do.

My son had a question today so I told him this would be the place to ask! He's really not interested in going to college(not the book reading, paper writing type) and was wondering if the Navy will pay for some sort of trade school when he gets out instead of college...
