Kristracice - My daughter was in the performing division as well. She directed their choir. It is really exciting and really helps them to feel like such a part of the ceremony. It is a beautiful thing. My daughter is in Hawaii now and will be deploying for a few weeks again in a couple of weeks.
Kathy, what is her job?
Wow!! Just a month away! Mine should be stateside sometime in July! I will just be glad to be able to hear his voice again! We Skype- but only type - he doesn't like the camera part!
My son's leave was finally approved!! He'll be home in June!!
Kristracice - do you know that the 900 division is the "performing" division. They do all the fun stuff at PIR. They also perform in the ceremony the week before their own! You might want to join both PIR groups and get someone to get pictures for you. By then, you will know what he will be doing in the ceremony (carrying a flag, singing, rifle drill, etc).
Wow - your conversation brings back such memories! Mine is almost finished with his five years! It has FLOWN by - thanks to Navy for Moms!
I started crying because I had not received her box so I ran out the door to check the mailbox and almost tripped over the box. I was hoping she would of left me a message from when she was on the plane.. but no.
