FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I read the post by Kathy on March 28th regarding the soldier who stopped at Jack in the Box in Houston to get a burger who asked for a military discount and was told "what do they do". I found this attitude appalling so I went the the Jack-in-the Box website and found the following contact information. I encourage everyone to write and or call and explain just what the military does for our country!

All5roc~Wasnt that the best thing ever??? & Then to top it off you have a second child joining soon!! You must be so proud!!! My son is on the Enterprise & we have a Father Son & 2 brothers serving together on the ship this deployment!! maybe yours will get a chance to serve on the same ship as well!!!

Just returned from GL. We have another Texas Sailor!!! Daughter in A school in GL. Will now be getting prepared for son to enter bootcamp June 4th. Texas represented well at 3/30 PIR!! Lots of Texas families.

Good News All Around It Sounds Like!!! My son is in Greece taken in the sights LOL He posted picks on faceback & thats all I have heard from him!! Thats ok cause I know hes having fun!!!
