Anyone in the houston area see the news to night about jack in the box?
a soldier in uniform on his way to the airport asked about military discounts and was told police get discounts what does the military do......the one on 1960...no more jack in the box for my house very sad that boy was on his way back to afghanistan and his last food he wanted was jack in the box..and they treated him so rude

Hi there Lockhartgma...I am right here west of Austin with alot of friends  in Lockhart.  Your grandson will be fine.  My son turned 19 while in bootcamp.  He has made friends that will last a life time.  There is no greater joy that to know that our good sons become good men.  Be prayerful.  Write him and encourage him.  Be a source of strength and let him know you are proud of him.  It's okay to cry little around the house, we all did, but don't let him know that.  He needs to know you have faith in him and in Him.  Be strong and God Bless our boys!!!

Hello Texas Moms, Grandmas, and Girlfriends!

My grandson has joined the Reserves and leaves for boot camp July 26th. We are from Lockhart just south of Austin. He is only 18 and has been my baby for almost his entire life and while I'm already miserable about his leaving, it is what he wants to do so I will be here to support him! I taught him to walk, to read, and to drive a car - I guess the Navy will teach him to be a man!

Please keep us posted on the girl in San Angelo please.  I'm 2+ hours away from her but will keep her in my prayers.  My son has been sick too and is having trouble getting over it.  Everyone keep praying!

I am praying for the family in San Angelo and will add them to our church prayer list. This is my biggest fear for my son since he gets coughs very easily. My father back in the 50's caught pneumonia in the Air Force unfortunately this is not a new problem for military.

Where is Shannon Medical Center?
