Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!
Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!
Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Just read this in another thread - found quite interesting!
"I can't say where my sailor is. It is in a "hot spot", but I know even that is a vague answer. It is meant to be. :-) Sorry. Someone in his group was sent back to the States, with a loss in rank because his parents (esp. his mom) were constantly referring to where they were."
sfdreaming - if his graduation is not until July that means he has not completed "hell week". I'd sure hold off on buying those tickets! There are lots of SEAL moms that can answer questions. I know a few that I can call if you really need to know something. You must be ESPECIALLY careful about putting up pictures (NONE AT ALL) and any information about you or your family. He could lose his SEAL if too much information gets out about him or his family.

Eaglemom, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!
My husband has been back and forth to Wichita Falls because his mom has been in the hospital and now rehab. She is 98 years old and has always lived in their family home and now the doctors tell her she can't go back! She keeps blacking out and falling. Keep her in your prayers, too.

does anyone know anything about SEAL 290 graduation in july...how many guests are allowed..time and are there going to be passes for family to come and go from the base

I have been snowed under at work with some major projects and this is our busiest time of year :(
Ryan took his advance exam last week and feels like he did well. Now its the wait game......
