Hi! I live in Dallas, and I attended my son's PIR on 03/09. Yes, do start saving now - you should go to your son's graduation. It was such a moving ceremony - I was so proud. We spent some time with my son in Chicago, and there are so many fun things to do there.
Hey Donna!!!
I know where Mayperal is my son played a few baseball games there back in the day!! LOL I live in Mesquite!!
Welcome!! Start saving now so you can go to graduation It is something you will never forget!!
Tuesday, Cotton Patch Cafe 10:30AM - Frisco, TEXAS... Navy Moms getting together!
Hey Angie!! My son is on the Enterprise!! I am in both groups!! I live in the Dallas area!!
Angie, my son is not on the USS Enterprise - but I do live in Nederland - and my son is deployed now. Want to visit? We could meet at Starbuck's or something one evening.
I think when they are away for the first time they are looking for a security blanket. I am not saying they don't love each other, but he needs to feel anchored right now. I do hope and pray it works out! I got married at 19 myself and am still married after 47 years! My son wasn't so lucky! But, please pray for the best!
Brenda72, Sorry to hear of your son's "dumb" decision.lol !. He should be spanked for not telling you!!! He is probably feeling like he's all grown up and can make decisions without moms help. He will be fine. Life has a way of teaching us what we need to learn!! Hang in there.
Thank you for al your thoughts and prayers...they mean alot to me. We have a new issue...he decided that since his gf ( who is not out of HS yet) came to see him on Spring Break that they would get married yesterday and I found out on Facebook.
You can imagine the hearbreak and disappointment. They are both only 18 and dumb....lol
