I am in the Galveston area. My son's PIR is April 13, 2012. He is Ship 3 Division 116. Looking forward to connecting to any other new moms. Maybe we can be buddy moms!!
Eaglemom, my son-in-law is at Fort Hood. We love it because they just transferred from Colorado. I have seen my grandkids almost every weekend since just before Christmas. They are only 2.5 hours away!
It's my son. He is ship 3 div 89. He left January 19 and will graduate March 16. This was my first phone call. And you are right, I miss him like crazy. He is my middle child and really knew how to push my buttons. Sometimes I thought the day would never come for him to leave for BC. Now that he has been gone for a month, those days seem so long ago. Hope your call comes soon
Just had a brief call from my son. He sounded tired and hoarse but otherwise ok. It only lasted a few minutes because he only had 10 minutes and I had to share with the girlfriend, but that is ok. Just good to hear his voice
Thank You Eagelmom!!!!
I did it..made it through my son's ship date 02/16/2012 with only a few tears. I think it was easier for me because he had already left home once before to go to college 10 hours away. But I am finding it hard not being able to pick up the phone and call him to see how he is.
Well said, Eaglemom! :)
Brenda Sue--brought tears to my eyes thinking about it and wishing I had an extra day to spend with my SR. so glad that some of you will have that chance:) I am so excited and counting down the days until 3/2!! It is getting close now and I can't wait!
