Thanks Rhonda! It has just been one of those weeks. I am drowning my sorrows in a cheeseburger tonight but will get back on track tomorrow.

I got a call from my son today as they sailed into Pearl Harbor!  He was excited and mentioned how great it was just seeing the American flags flying!  He left San Diego the first part of August and it has been a long deployment!  He will be home on leave in a few weeks!  This is the longest he has been away.

Lala~ Muscle weighs more than fat!! I bet you lost weight BUT Toned up & that is why the scales read the way they did!!!!

Donna~ Becareful & have fun on your road trip!!! I have to send my son back on Tuesday. Sad day that will be. He will be deploying shortly after so it will be nextg year before we see him again.

Thanks ladies for the encouragment. It really does help. I got on the stupid scale because I felt thinner and I have been working hard this week. I am sure the scale was wrong lol

lala 4, I think we've all had a week like that.  Sometimes they are so busy that they don't get that letter done in time to get it to the mail.  So next week maybe you'll have 2 letters.  There was a week when I got nothing and the girlfriend got mine and hers.  He put her address on both letters.  She was good enough to call and read it to me and then send it to me.  Congrats on the stop smoking, not an easy thing to do.  Just remember one day at a time and before you know it PIR will be here. : )

It will get better, Lala! You will hear some news soon. I can relate to how you feel - we did not hear anything for over two weeks and then we got a long letter yesterday, full of news. That is discouraging about working out and not seeing results. I can also relate to that issue as well!

This has not been a good week. So many things going on and no form of communication from my kid at all. His girlfriend didn't get anything either. On top of that, I have been working out like crazy and got on the scale today to find that I gained a pound! I also stopped smoking 4 weeks ago and I swear I have craved them more this week than in the first week!  I am so happy that I have someplace to "whine" to people who understand. Thanks for letting me vent lol
