Mason is almost the dead center of Texas. We are about 2 hours North West of San Antonio. In fact we are 2 hours from any big city. It's not for everyone but my husband and I both grew up here and we love it,

Hi, everyone! I am from Mason Texas, a very small town in the hill country. Maybe you heard about us during state football...we won class 1A state championship this year! Very proud of our little town. My son left last week for BC. I received "the box" yesterday but still no letter. I don't even know what division or anything that he is in. I hate this waiting but very glad that someone told me about this website. It has helped so much,

Thanksful for the much needed rain yesterday but continued prayers for more to come, for us ALL :-)

@kat09-88Texas ~ the journey has begun with the arrival of the box. Be patient and the letter will soon follow. As Pam stated just take it one day at a time and you will survive. Once, PIR date arrives you will be on cloud 9.

The Navy announced its 2012 navy week scehedule and I am happy to say 'HOUSTON' made the list! HooYah

kat09-88Texas - My son also left last Tuesday.  I received his box Friday, but no letter yet.  He is 09-091, so they should be near each other.  I have written him a letter every single day.  Can't wait to get the form letter to make sure of his graduation date.

I went through this same thing last July. I never got his letter either which can make it more difficult. My son is on deployment now. I thought boot camp was hard on me that was nothing compared to this. I am in Houston. Here is my email address Pambailey111@aol.com. I will walk you thru what you will need to do. Alll you can do is take one day at a time and keep busy. The time will go by faster than you know.

I'm in Seagoville and it rained so hard the roads were completely covered! LOL!! I had a hard time taking my daughter to school this morning. :) But we needed it!

It has been raining "cats and dogs" here in Dallas. I just noticed that our bike trail was under water!

Comment by Cece on January 25, 2012 at 1:49pm

We have had around 6 inches according to our rain gauge!

We were driving to Walmart while ago and had to turn around because the road was closed!
