I REALLY dislike Mountain Cedar! I would like to e able to breathe again without coughing my head off!! Just sayin"...  :)

The hardest part about boot camp was not being able to just shoot a text whenever! Plus everyone (well meaning , of course) kept asking if I had heard from him and I would have to say no, with a smile...Thursdays were my letter days, would rush home from work and attack the mailbox!!! Now that  it is over it seemed so short and so long ago even though it's been less than a year that he left.

Hi harpist mom and Vickie. I have been where you both are. My son left in July for boot camp. I had a very hard time when he left. I couldn't wait to receive his letters, even though these kids are used to texting and don't really know how to write a real letter. :). You will get more letters and sometimes your letters will cross in the mail. Make sure you find out what "ship" they are on because when it comes time for graduation you will have to print out a pass to get on base. You will see a huge change in your boys. It is an awesome ceremony. Mine graduated in sept and is stationed in Jacksonville, Florida. He is now on deployment for 6 months. I am scared to death but I know GOD will watch over them. It is hard letting go. Please let me know if you need to talk or if you just have questions.

Hi Vickie! I live in Dallas, and my son left for boot camp on the 11th, a little over a week ago. I really know how you feel. It has been a very emotional week for me. I was able to get my son's address from his recruiter earier this week and feel better now that I have sent him some letters and cards. Please feel free to contact me.
