To all the new Moms----Bless you!  It has now been 7 years since our son joined. He is on his 3rd deployment and he has his ups and downs, but there are way more good days than bad ones.  We still miss him, but in this technology age, we keep in touch.  I can't imagine how my mother did it with Dad in France and her here with 2 babies and no contact during WWII!

My son left for Boot Camp last Wednesday, a week ago. I can hardly wait to get a letter from him! Also, if anyone has recommendations on where to stay for the Boot Camp graduation, please forward. Thanks!

Pay close attention to how neat the handwriting in on those letters, too! my son said they told them "This isn't kindergarten, they better be written the right way!" I was amazed that mine could write that well!

lesliet so happy for you that you got your letter!!!! since they left at the same time hopefully mine will come tomorrow.  Cried all the way home from the po box today when I didn't get it.  Topped the day off by packing his room.........ugh that was a bad idea after no letter.  The recruiter couldn't find his info either when I called.  Hope everything is okay with him

I got my letter today!! SHIP 07 DIV 080 I am so excited! I also talked with Sarge and he was very helpful! We have our room booked now just need to get our flight booked.  I can't wait to see him!:) One thing he put in his letter that cracked me us was "my hair is so short" lol I keep wondering what he looks like because he has never had a buzz before so I haven't seen him with no hair since he was born! lol
