Laura the unrest out there is really scary for sure. I did see on CNN that most the budget cuts would hit the Army. The Navy will be one of the least efftive. So thats a little bit of a positive.

Hello Moms from the beautiful state of Texas.  I am from deep east Texas and my Sr is in week 4 of bootcamp.  He is loving it and has been taped as the recruit chaplin.  We are so proud he is following his dream and will be going to nuke A school in Charleston, SC as a grad and go on Feb. 3rd.  Whoop Whoop go Navy!

After 7 years, it still is difficult when they leave again!  Our son is in the 5th fleet that we keep reading about in the newspaper! That is kinda' nerve-wracking!  With technology, it is so nice to be able to keep in touch, though!

Laura~ So glad you are getting time with your son!! I just came back from DFW from sending my son back to Norfolk!! I'm always sad when we send him back but knowing it will be almost a year before I see him again is making it worse I think. May will be 2 years that he has been in. Dose it ever get any eaiser???

Hey that's what my son will be training for too.  I just didn't know the moniker.  He goes to training in San Antonio.

Thanks Brenda Sue
