TGIF Texas Ladies ~

@Coltens Mom - yippie for clearing FFD and returning to DIV! PIR is an amazing event that you will NEVER forget :-)

@ProudNavyMom ~ normally you won't reveive the first letter until about the 4 week. They usually arrive on Thursday since the time for writting for most DIV is Sunday mornings. Prayers for letters in your mailbox soon and postive communications from your SR, be strong!

Good morning Ladies!!!! Well, I'm with all of your that are still waiting on the first phone call and first letter from your SR! It's only been 2 weeks since he left, but it seems like a long time ago! I miss him and hope the letters start coming soon. I've written him a bunch so far. I hope he's getting them. I book our flights yesterday to go to PIR!! I can't wait to see him and give him a great big hug!!

debschnell - I would try to stay on base!  probably cheaper and I bet we could find someone to check you in.  Not sure the name of the hotel - check out the group San Antonio MA's.  They talk about it htere.

Donna - sounds good - just tell us where!  I don't know where would be a good place to leave a car for a few hours at that intersection - but I bet anywhere would be fine!

Any suggestions for hotels/motels in SA?

Eaglemom --- I spent the first week in August in the hospital with a serious kidney infection.  It takes awhile to get back to normal, and I'm feeling fine now.  Just rest as much as you can.  Take care.

sbarber - yes I saw that.  That is what prompted my questions about how to find places to tell my family that they can take him to eat since they live 3 hours away and aren't familiar with the area.  Thanks!

Brendasue-Found the invite for the dinner, it doesn't say anything about cost. Will have to check the budget but would love for my son to have the chance to go.
