Also, some Sailors!

Donna, thanks for the info on fb.  I don't fb, but might have to rethink.  We've been in close touch electronically, but he tells me he doesn't think the ship has internet for the sailors while it's underway (he's new onboard).  Made him swear to call if they go ashore.  Guess I'm going to have to get a grip and mom up!

Brenda Sue and Donna --- I'm waiting to finalize my plans, pending my husband's decision on whether to go or not.  If he goes, we'll stay the night, and if not, I would still probably stay. Donna, either way, you're welcome to ride with us/me.  Brenda, thanks for your offer.   I'll keep you posted.   P.S.  Any other spouses going to SA?  My hus doesn't seems to hesitate to go to an all moms affair.

IDebschnell... thanks for the offer. If you have room for one I'd like to ride with you if possible. Are you coming back the same day?

Yes... someone knows what you are thinking but the Navy is pretty safe. Is your sailor on fb. It's a great way to stay connected. I love getting on in the morning and finding SF on. It's such a great start to my day.  He is 8 hrs ahead of us.

debschnell - who is riding with you?  I have a small car - but it does hold four.  I just don't want to do a lot of driving around dropping off coming home - I have to work Friday.

Lt. Tom --- Thanks to all who are putting together the SA dinner.  It'll be our pleasure to be there.

  • We're off I-10 and Voss and would be happy to help out if anyone needs to stash a car.  We have our own police, and they make special watches if asked.  Our sailor left on his first voyage yesterday, and I'm worried to death about him.  I'll bet someone knows what's going through my mind.

I would think just about any business along the highway would be fine.  Is there a 24 hour Wal-mart or CVS close?
